Shrayaa Jayapal
Environmental Policy Research Intern

Shrayaa Jayapal (She/Her) is an undergraduate at Drexel University, pursuing a BA in Political Science with minors in Sociology and Environmental Studies. She joined the OEDP team in March 2025 and has been working on developing the Policy Tracker, which will showcase different environmental policies (both federal and local) across the United States. 

She has a strong interest in research and social justice, working on research on women’s education and health in Afghanistan, environmental projects, and more. In addition to research, Shrayaa has a passion for peer mentorship. She previously worked as a peer educator for Planned Parenthood in Baltimore and currently works as a peer mentor for the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute. 

She plans to go to law school in the fall of 2027, and pursue a career focused on social justice and change.
